Who's Buried in Audubon's Tomb? The Artist and the Musician in the New World

Two foreign-born figures led remarkably parallel and intersecting lives in early 19th-century America: the famed artist/naturalist John James Audubon (1785-1851) and the little-known composer Anthony Philip Heinrich (1781-1861). Each remade himself as an American original and used the wilderness and wildlife as the material for their productions. Learn about these two colorful antebellum figures with music, images, and a touch of humor — ending with a cozy side-by-side burial! Music Mountain Board Member Emeritus Fred Baumgarten has researched and written about Audubon and Heinrich for more than a quarter-century.
