THE ARTISTS:
NAOMI LEWIN, NARRATOR
Naomi Lewin spent time as an opera singer and actress in New York City, and then moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky to become a classical music radio host. At her next station, WGUC in Cincinnati, she created the weekly program Classics for Kids, now heard on radio stations around the country. Naomi’s final radio job was afternoon host on WQXR in New York. She has produced arts reports for NPR, intermission features for Met Opera broadcasts, music podcasts for various non-profits, and she’s written Playbill articles for the New York Philharmonic. Onstage, Naomi has narrated Peter and the Wolf, Carnival of the Animals, King David, and Façade. She appeared as J.S. Bach (really!) in Sunday Baroque’s 30th anniversary video – and as a spitball-shooting professor in the short film La Folía. naomilewin.com
EMILY BOYER, HORN
Emily Boyer, horn, is guided by music’s power to connect. Past projects include her collaboration with sonic artist Rachel Devorah at the Boston Museum of Science planetarium and a solo recital featuring her original compositions for horn and digital media at the International Horn Symposium in Montreal. Emily is a founding member of horn and harp duo Apple Orange Pair, shining light on this unexpected pairing through new works, innovative transcriptions, recording, and residencies. Emily performs with orchestras around the region and is a member of New Haven-based quintet, Brass. She serves as the horn instructor at Sacred Heart University. Emily is the morning classical music host at WSHU Public Radio, connecting with listeners across Connecticut, Long Island, and beyond. She holds degrees from Interlochen Arts Academy, Peabody Conservatory, and Yale School of Music. emilyboyer.com
