MUSIC MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL INTERNSHIP

If you are detail-oriented, at ease with people, and eager to learn how concerts are run, the Music Mountain (Paid) Festival Internship may be a great learning opportunity for you, while helping you save for your next big project. Applicants should be at least 16 years of age by May 15 of this year.

Music Mountain has been home to riveting chamber music performances since 1930, and jazz since 1987. Music Mountain Interns this summer will work with Music Mountain's artistic director, and will interact with our loyal audience and stellar performing artists.

Dates:

May 15 - September 17, 2023.

​​​​​​​It is possible to work only weekends while you are in school.

Hours:

Sundays, 12:30 – 5:30 pm, June 4 through Sept 17, at concerts.

Saturdays, 4:30 – 9:30 pm, June 24 through Sept 2 at concerts.

Mondays and Fridays (and possibly other weekdays) as available.

​​​​​​​Approximate calculation of weekly work hours:

May 15 – June 4 (3 weeks): 10 h/week.
June 5 – July 23 (7 weeks): 20 h/week.
July 24 – Sept 3 (6 weeks): 14 h/week.
Sept 4 – Sept 18 (2 weeks): 8 h/week.

Salary:

$4,050 for the season, less applicable payroll and withholding taxes, payable biweekly.

2023 Events:

Music Mountain’s 2023 Summer Festival, celebrating “Home and Belonging”, presents chamber music concerts on 16 consecutive Sundays at 3 PM from June 4 through September 17; and jazz concerts on 11 consecutive Saturdays at 7 PM from June 24 through September 2. We will also present this summer five pre-concert talks and 3 family concerts, all on Sundays at 2 PM. All events are indoors, in Gordon Hall, at 225 Music Mountain Rd, Falls Village, CT. Sunday concerts include lawn seating (audio only), right outside Gordon Hall.
